There are so many organizations in and around the Knoxville area that rely heavily on local volunteers and financial support. Therefore, I’ve decided to continue spotlighting local charities on Mondays. This week’s spotlight is the Lost Sheep Ministry, a Knoxville based ministry that serves the homeless, hurting, and needy within the city of Knoxville.
The Lost Sheep Ministry mission is to provide restoration through the saving power of Jesus Christ by providing love to the lost, hurting, and forgotten children of God, addiction rehabilitation guidance, meals and clothing distribution to the homeless each week “under the bridge”, alternatives and support for teens in the city, as well as coordinating assistance from local churches and social agencies to help people in need.
Lost Sheep Ministry outreaches are made possible by individuals, churches, foundations and others who make monetary gifts, donate clothing, food and toiletries, a variety of in-kind items and volunteer time.
