Each Monday in the month of March I will be highlighting a local non-profit organization in the Knoxville area. There are many ways to get involved and help out your community. Whether you have free evenings or weekends and want to volunteer locally, or you would prefer to contribute to an organization that is making a difference. There are many non-profits that need talented, caring, giving, willing volunteers to help them out. Make March the month you get involved and give back. Here is the charity for this week.
Random Acts of Flowers is a non-profit charity whose volunteers collect flowers from weddings, memorial services, florists, special events, grocery stores and churches – and re-purpose them into beautiful bouquets for delivery to patients in area hospitals, nursing homes and hospice care centers. Their target recipients are those who have been in the hospital for an extended period of time, have not had visitors, or are just in need of a little cheer. Random Acts of Flowers… delivering smiles one bouquet at a time.
