Today’s photo was taken during a trip last year to Atlanta. I didn’t realize what this was until I got home and was looking at my photos. It took some research to identify this as The Carnegie Monument at Hardy Ivy Park in downtown Atlanta, GA. The preserved facade of the early 20th century Carnegie Library now make up this elegant 23 square foot pavilion in the center of the park. Hardy Ivy Park rests at the point where Peachtree and West Peachtree Streets split and serves as a small reminder of the city’s first permanent settler, Hardy Ivy.
