Today’s photo is of the Ballet Olympia Sculptures and fountain cascade at SunTrust Plaza on Peachtree Street in Atlanta, GA.
A pair of bronze naked dancers carefree tossing ribbons as they look skywards up to the SunTrust building. Conceived and designed by John Portman, this group, Ballet Olympia was adapted from Paul Manship’s three foot bronze figure, Maenad (1953), as a tribute to this renowned American sculptor.
