Several weeks the church my wife and I attend, Dixie Lee Baptist Church, adopted Forge Ridge School in Harrogate, TN. Wednesday, the Mission of Hope, along with volunteers from the church, delivered 230 backpacks filled with supplies to the kids at Forge Ridge. Every student received a backpack filled with supplies like pencils, crayons, scissors, glue, and hygiene items like toothbrushes and toothpaste. The delivery was covered by WBIR Channel 10. In Decemeber, we will make another trip to Forge Ridge to deliver Christmas items to the kids. At Christmas, the kids and their family receive new toys and clothing along with non-perishable food items and hygiene products.
